I was literally told they wouldn't help me at all because my case wasn't winnable - they cherry-pick the cases they'll take. When I asked to be put in touch with a different lawyer who would advocate for me I was told no. Absolutely no compassion, no hope, nothing but attitude. I get that you're understaffed and underpaid, but you're still dealing with human beings in bad situations who are coming to you for help. Do better.

As of now, I'm having a pretty bad experience with one of the representatives that's working on my case. I won't give his name yet because I reached out to his supervisor to complain. I'm waiting for a return call to see how will this major situation be handled. Stay tuned.

Overworked, understaffed & underpaid. Everyone is rude, condescending and disrespectfully arrogant - from the receptionists to the paralegals. Olga is so in love with the sound of her own voice she doesn’t realize she isn’t helpful or knowledgeable, she’s entitled & needs to learn to speak in turn instead of over people - listen to understand, not to respond.

I literally explained WHY I called, she shushed me - then says, “I’m assuming you’re calling because…”

I assume you should … find another profession.

Do NOT go here if you truly need help. They don't help. They're short with you. Snippy. Couldn't care less about you. They refused to help me with an urgent matter my parents are having (they lost their home in a sheriff sale) because they claimed they "already helped me" and the "help" they are referring to was having me call Navicorp which is expensive and also doesn't help you! And Nidia was my contact there and she called me while she was at a dental appointment in May to whisper into the phone and explain essentially that there was nothing to do. I reached out thinking maybe she would help me out with this recent matter but instead she got sassy on the phone and lectured me like I was a child. I am grown woman, capable of handling WAY MORE than most people and I don't appreciate being talked to like I am a child. . Disgusting service. Would not recommend

Stephanie Range sent me a letter closing my case and the letter was IN MY MAILBOX the next day?! How? She had the wrong dates, the wrong case and was useless. Beyond belief.

This organization is very proactive in landlord-tenant issues. My landlord was once foreclosed, and sleazy lawyers hired by Freddie Mac tried to evict me but failed, thanks in large part to a CJLS attorney. I moved to another house at the same rent, which was a better place.

They will intervene on your behalf if legal actions are taken against you by a landlord.

Hands down the most unprofessional organization I have ever dealt with. Their paralegal shared privileged information with me that their clients are in this country illegally and shared my phone number with their clients, without my permission! Never, have I ever, dealt with such incompetent "legal services" staff in my life. The attorney told me that he is not legally entitled to the information he was requesting from me and when I told him I wouldn't provide it, he continued to badger me. Do yourself a favor and hire professionals who know the law. It's no wonder these attorney are paid so little, they are paid their worth!
