We’ve had a good experience overall in working with Carmen to revise and update our existing trust. Understandably, we had lots of questions! Her responses were timely, thorough, informative, and thoughtful. I have no doubt that if more question arise in the future (as I am sure they will!), she will be just as responsive.

Terrible experience. I never leave bad reviews, check my history, Carmen is extremely lazy, she cancelled our agreement because she didn't want my financial advisor to review our draft trust agreement. She said why would I want my financial planner to look at a trust agreement? ITS A FINANCIAL DECISION, DUH!

Before I could forward any comments or have my financial advisor review anything, she suggested to terminate our contract with a refund. I took her up on the offer, but she didn't return all of our money!!! She stated that I cancelled our contract, but all I did was accept her resignation as our attorney, which she offered! I have since spoken to multiple attorneys and financial advisors who all state this practice of her of not wanting a financial advisor to look at the language of OUR trust is VERY suspicious. What a terrible experience, stay away from this business and save your money, she will try to scam you! I'm shocked by this whole experience, if I could leave a zero star review I would!

I recently had the pleasure of finalizing my Living Trust. I had a very thorough appointment that consisted of signing all documents and Carmen answering all questions I had. I appreciated the time Carmen spent with me and I will be recommending Carmen to others requiring Estate Planning.

We tried to hire Carmen to assist with our Estate Planning. She hosted a 30 minute screen-sharing session with my husband and I to try and explain the process. For the few weeks following we had questions and send her emails through her portal. She replied "she was very busy with too many clients" to answer any questions after that session. We had basic questions and sent a few emails to better understand what we were signing up for. She insisted that we had to "sign the agreement" before she would answer any other questions or that she would close our case and we would need to find another attorney. NOT RECOMMENDED unless you already understand EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED and EXACTLY What all the TERMS related to ESTATE PLANNING are. She is not helpful at all.

I have the same complaint as some of the other reviews here. We met on a zoom meeting and it started with no introductions of herself and her background. She just started talking to us and did not even ask who we were? very unprofessional and all she cared about was her time. She then proceded to eat her lunch! who does that on a professional call?
She also told us and we understood that it would take more time than normal because the county being on lockdown with covid. She never return the information I ask for in a email . She did give me a list of charges for what we wanted and they did not add up to the total?. I ask her to review and get back to me and did not hear back from her ever. I then sent a message to her that we no longer needed her services. We are in the Metlife legal plan and we know their are charges that are not included. That was not the problem the problem was her non responsive reply to emails and her lack of her human skills. I do not recommend her and she should not even be on Metlifes Legal service team.

I spoke with Marquez regarding a very distressing trust dispute. Ms. Marquez reviewed the information that I provided to her and she referred us to an attorney who would be able to help us further. Ms. Marquez was reassuring and very happy to answer my questions in detail. Ms. Marquez is clearly passionate about what she does.

She did our Living Trust. When I went to pick it up I was dismayed by the size of the document, it was like a phone book. I could not fit something of that size in my safe deposit box. When I expressed this to Ms. Marquez she suggested that for an additional charge she could put it onto a CD.
Then when I picked up the CD she told me I still HAD to safely keep the printed document. So now I paid an additional charge and had something that was unnecessary and didn't allow me to dispose of the hard copy.
For this reason I give her one star.
