The reviews about the rude customer service you will get when you call are so true. I had mediation scheduled with Michael Carpenter last year, which I paid my fee for. That mediation was cancelled and postponed, but I am now having mediation at a different firm. I called to get my fee back since I wouldn't be using him at all and both times, the "office manager" lady was completely rude to me. The first day she said she needed more information because "she wasn't looking it up" and would then pass that on so they could "decide how to proceed." She actually brought me to tears. I gathered the information she told me I needed, which, by the way, she could have easily looked up with my case number. Tried calling back today and she just completely cut me off while I was talking and was rude again! I asked to speak to someone else because she was being so rude and she said there was no one else to talk to because she's the "office manager." I could not recommend this place any less from my very small interaction with them.

This office charged us twice for the mediation fee instead of charging the other party their half. When we caught this, we were questioned by the receptionist about why we didn't notice sooner, like it was our fault that they did this. The receptions was very cold and disrespectful, flat out rude. We only didn't notice because we were told on the day of mediation that we still hadn't paid (which we did 2 months earlier) and we either had to pay right then and there or the mediation was cancelled. We paid so we could continue.

I was told I would get a call back but that was not true. I called and left another message asking for a refund for being charged twice and received no call back.

We finally had to dispute this with our bank. We filed a claim and our bank refunded us temporarily while they investigated this. I got a notice today that the claim has been investigated fully and the refund was permanent since Carpenter Law & Mediation was at fault. It's a shame they were not willing to call back or work with us initially for their oversight.

Lynn The “office manager” is the rudest person I’ve ever spoken too, including my ex wife! I called to ask questions about my upcoming mediation, she was very rude and short. Cutting me off and then hanging up on me! For what reasons, I can’t tell you. I try to call back and make payment, and she won’t answer my put of state number. Probably on purpose, I’m about to call from a spoofed 719 and she will probably answer. What a joke

Every single time I called, I received the worst customer service from the woman who answered. She was extremely rude and doesnt know how to look at a clock. Then what kind of business that wants my business hangs up the phone. Had an appointment this morning (where I had to call them and not the other way just to inquire if I even wanted to hire them) and called 3 minutes after but got told I was calling too late because her clock said it was going on 8 already with a rude attitude once again. Never got past the terrible service of his phone clerk, and if that's the people he hires, could only imagine how terrible of a person he could be.

I ALSO CALLED THIS FIRM TODAY. THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED WAS VERY SHORT WITH ME, AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME BACK. SHE DIDN'T SAY WHEN. SHE SAID THE LAWYER LIKES TO MAKE HIS OWN APPOINTMENTS. DIDN'T GIVE ME MUCH CONFIDENCE IN THEM. I WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE. ** POST EDIT: I JUST CALLED THEM TO CANCEL AND THE WOMAN WHO ANSWERED LITERALLY TOLD ME SHE "DOESN'T CARE" ABOUT THE GOOGLE REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY CALL EACH DAY (BASICALLY SAYING THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY). I'M SO HAPPY I'M AVOIDING A BAD PRACTICE.

This guy charged me 2.5x what he first asked for. Now $7500 in the whole and im bending ovet backwards for my baby's mom. Fathers dont want this guy representing you.

My Ex tried to move my kids out of state. Mike represented me at a reasonable rate and the end result was I have 50/50 time with my kids.

Highly recommend Mike, he is very knowledgeable and very reasonable. Lynn is also very nice and will take care of the clients any way she is able.
