I called the Carlisle Law Firm and had the unfortunate luck of having attorney Luke Bolden answer the phone. The conversation went well and I ended up retaining Mr Bolden.
We agreed on $250.00 for a letter of demand and a flat rate fee of $1500.00 if the case needed to go further. I was satisfied with that and wanted to get started ASAP because this was a "time is of the essence" case and I was satisfied with the agreement rather than an hourly rate.
It took Mr Bolden almost a month to write the letter of demand after I paid him the initial $250.00. That's because I literally had to keep reminding Mr Bolden to write the letter. He would literally respond to me "Oh shoot, I forgot," or "I promise I'll get to it next week." He treated me as though he were representing me pro bono(free). I was frustrated but desperate and didn't have many other options considering the issue I needed resolved so I dealt with it.
After letter of demand didn't resolve my issue it was time to move on to phase 2 of my case. After constantly emailing/texting/calling Mr Bolden about the continuation of my case, I had a problem getting in touch with him. I would not hear from Mr Bolden anywhere from (5) to (14) days over a period of almost(3) months. The last text I received was him actually apologizing to me telling me "he was unable to focus. We are going to have to revisit our initial retainer agreement." I knew he was talking about more money but I agreed and texted him ok and would you PLEASE call me so we can talk about this because as I stated this was a "time is of the essence case" and he was wasting my time.
Three days go by and still no response. I texted, emailed Mr Bolden at least 5 times over a period of (10) days, once practically begging him to respond or let me know what was going on and to stop ignoring me.
After almost a month and never hearing from Mr Bolden again I figured out what I should have figured out a lot earlier.
Apparently Mr Bolden didn't want to continue on with my case. I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with Mr Bolden not wanting to move on with my case and not sharing that information with me because he's not professional enough or man enough to just tell me this instead of ignoring me, wasting even more of my time. What a cowardly unethical approach for an attorney to take.
After my experience with Mr Bolden I would not recommend him because in his own words he obviously has problems "focusing."
