I brought Brian a very complex High Conflict Divorce case. Brian had an excellent strategy, was able to identify exactly what was needed from first review of the case. As time went on he found another attorney on the case had committed ethical violations and helped file appropriate motions regarding them in court. Brian's partner Stephanie Ransom, is also extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. She stays up to date on some of the most recently passed family laws. This was a divorce where they were representing me, but the case became mostly about my child with special needs. I felt at the end of our time together that I could not have been happier about the effort that they put into ensuring my son had the best chances. I have been in custody court for over ten years now and have had several attorneys over the years and have dealt with several of my ex's attorney's as well. Brian and his staff have been the most professional, organized, knowledgeable, strategic law firm I have ever worked with. Even when the hearing didn't quite go the way we planned it, as no one knows what the judge will rule, I always felt confident that the had the best arguments and strategies to turn it around.

I don't know where else to turn. This attorney does not return his phone calls or his emails. His own staff cannot get him to return any of my calls or emails. Brian has left me high and dry and he has bled me for thousand of dollars. Meanwhile, my ex's attorney is getting everything she asks for. And I'm losing everything. I found out that Brian Lanz has been reported to several state agencies and its a miracle he still has a license to practice law. That would have been good to know before I hired him.

Bryan seems nice and capable on the surface. In fact, I found him to be uniquely unqualified to represent me in a recent family law matter. He is curt, seems bothered by casework and organization, impossible to reach, never responds to e-mail or portal messages, misses scheduled phone meetings, and NEVER prepares. Working with him was an absolute nightmare. He disappeared for over a month during my divorce proceedings. Disappeared. I had to finally threaten to file a complaint with the California Bar Association to even get a call back and listen to his groveling apologies. After a year of torturous misrepresentation, I was forced to switch attorneys mid-stream. Had I stayed with Bryan, I'd most likely be living in my car right now. He's that horrible. Run from this guy. Quickly.

Please do not waste your money I haven't spoken with my attorney in about 2 years he abandoned me. And despite calls emails and actually talking to the receptionist I've never heard back. And some how even though I haven't had any form of communication with Brian or his paralegals I'm still getting a bigger and bigger bill

Wait it gets better 1 year later they will start sending bills that were already paid up front, Over and over and over.
