The Lady was nice and courteous, but they only defended people without suing people. If someone sues me they defend me. But they are not suing.

Get a better receptionist. I got served on 8/19. I called on that day. It is now 9/4 and my time is due to respond and have not heard. She states she did not speak to me until the 26th. All she can say to me is file for an extension. Have not heard from anyone for legal services at this time. Woman is extremely unprofessional and not organized. Sad that the individuals that need the help suffer and can’t get it. I get the help is free but don’t offer it if it can’t be available.

I would recommend making it a BIG point under the VISIT US info on the portal that the door is locked and there is nobody in, and visits are BY PREVIOUSLY ARRANGED appointments only. ...which cost me an hour driving to find out... And they never called back. Wow... But we'll manage 🙂

Totally useless. Egregiously negligent of Legal Aid mission. I am a former law, government, and history professor, federal investigator, and terrorism analyst defending often pro-bono the safety and security of the United States and Israel. This pathetic excuse for Legal Aid needs leadership from top to bottom. Does not answer emails or assist to stop unlawful, unconstitutional, price gouging, retaliatory, unconscionable, predatory, fraudulent, constructive pandemic evictions to cover up organized condo crime. That county, circuit, and district are as a result facing federal complaints filed with the United States Justice Department. Reform and clean house Florida Courts or Justice will resolve.

Because of the pandemic they only do phone interviews. The lady doing the intake interview seemed effect, but the lawyer that was assigned to me was not prepared for our phone meeting. I sent documents pertaining to my case, Patty the intake person said she would send them on to the lawyer.
When the lawyer and I spoke I asked him if he saw the documents that Patty sent him, and he said he thinks so but he had no idea where they were. After speaking with him he told me he knows very about landlord tenant laws. That made me very leary of his help. By the end of our meeting I knew nothing more about my situation. A week later the lawyer called me with no new news, but he did ask me if he wanted him to look over the lease. I emailed him the lease but never heard back.
