I needed legal representation as a result of accident in which I was @ no fault. I contacted Berg Injury Lawyer to represent me. I must say I made the correct decision. Saw their TV adds. Got rear ended. Had significant injuries. Called their number. Gave them the info. Told it wasn't serious enough for them, but they had someone we could call or be transferred to. Hired that person. Paid most of the eventual "settlement" to the lawyer and our medical insurance. Basically a wash or worse. Short story is that the minimum liability insurance in California (and most states) is VERY low, less than 50k. So, if you get hit by someone with a nice car or a big truck, then they might have a large liability policy, BUT, if you get hit by someone with nothing to lose, (very common IMO), then hiring a lawyer is useless as there is no money to get, even if you deserve it. IMO Berg law knows this, but instead of telling us, they sent us to another lawyer willing to take some "small" change at our expense. We've learned our lesson, but beware people offering large gifts...

Well, I had the privilege of working with Susan Lyon who by the way was the 3rd attorney I worked with throughout this process. That being said, this was probably one of the most frustrating, and probably extended this case, beyond it being settled in a more timely manner. I feel this miscommunication was probably due to Berg & Associates being maybe too big of a law firm to keep track of attorneys being reassigned or dismissed from cases? As far as wrapping up my case with Susan she did do a fine job with returning calls and staying up on as to where this case was going. At the end she actually was able to renegotiate my settlement for a bigger payout from what my insurance company initially offered. Kudos to Susan she did a fantastic job and thank you so much! What I also enjoyed about Susan is that she was really easy to talk we actually became friends throughout all our communication. She's awesome! She's smart! And a wonderful person. Berg & Associate are lucky to have her on staff. Thank you Susan your the best!
