Bashs is the only one in chinle. Other than that sometimes there's alot of ppl. The only time when there's not many ppl is early morning when bashas opens..

It's the only grocery store in the area so I think you get what you get. It was very busy probably because it's the only store. The store was clean and had decent selection. Some of the reviews from white people on here are so ridiculous, at no point did I feel people were being standoffish or overly staring at me. My King Soopers card worked at checkout to get the discounts, just FYI for anyone coming from out of town 🙂

It's a pretty nice store with a good selection. I spent a half-hour shopping and picked up several things marked with sale prices. Then when I checked out, the cashier charged full price for everything...like maybe 1 1/2 times the sale prices. I asked him about it and he said I had to have a discount card to qualify for the sale price, even though there was no indication of any such on the sale tags or displays. I offered to sign up for a card and he said, "We don't just give those out. You have to register and sign up online." I finally just told him he could keep the groceries and walked out.

This Bashas is located in the Navajo Nation Reservation in Northern Arizona. Most people here have been standoffish, and some completely ignored us when we would say hi or excuse me. My family and I are Caucasian Amerians, so I understand and don't blame them. That being said, one employee at this store made a lasting impression on us. Regina, who was working at self checkout (October 7th around 7 PM), was the sweetest, friendliest person I have ever met. She is hilarious, too! We had a few people be very rude to us on the way in, and 3 people asked us for money. We helped them all, and none said thank you. We were left feeling extremely unwelcome and were thinking of checking out of the hotel and leaving. Regina changed our minds. She needs to be recognized for her outstanding customer service and just being an amazing human being. Thank you girl, you are appreciated.

Store managers don’t get all the details and they fire or let go of there good workers, they just go by the hear say, and those drunk steal from them. No proof on the workers and they let them go. Chinle Bashas needs managers that have lots of experience in being a manager. I’m so disappointed in them letting go of 2 workers and one of the workers texting the other 2 of how they worked at that place, she should be let go to.

Despite the Pandemic the past 4 year's, I personally think our local Bashas' food market here in the "Heart of the Reservation" Chinle, Az was one of the best grocery store here in Chinle, 20 year's ago.
I can recall their was a previous manager named Delores Guy, who ran this store. She was very carrying and courteous. She welcome customer's that walk thru those double sliding doors with a smile. she value and consider the customer's needs. I believe she showed the community the importance being a Professional Manager at the time.?❤️
Since 20+ year's ago to today, I never seen or heard that generous Welcoming Greetings from any Supervisor's or Manager's on duty. There's only 2 courtesy clerk's on the register when it is busy, especially during lunch time and after 5 pm. There should be a Am and Pm shift leadership monitoring it's daily rush hours and knows when the Tribe, States and Government worker's paydays each week.
,It is frustrating to stand in line when you see no consideration on teamwork on getting the customer's In & Out. Yes, the Self Check lines are convenient but that doesn't help the Company Customer Service Ratings. It just Clashes it's face to face Interaction communication skills and Performance to the Customer's Greetings from the Employee's.
It just shows the meaning of Lack of Supervision conduct.
Due to the Gas price rising, why did the Produce meats department quantity drop tremendously, and all their selections of meats prices are at it's highest. I use to love shopping at our local Bashas' the food itself had it's Quality's Products, from Fresh Fruits to Fresh Vegetables Produce, were at a reasonable price and discounts practically everyday. I find it outrageous and unsatisfied...So I drive 25 miles all to Burnside to do my shopping now. I know it may seem the same by paying extra gas.. but if you look at it, I get more out of my money, friendly fast customer service. I don't what happened to Bashas' itself. I hope the company didn't go Republican on our Native People. Please!!! bring back the old Bashas' service. Thank You ?
