A beautiful library with a high vaulted ceiling and a wall of windows facing the roaring fork river and outdoor space. There are plenty of desks and tables facing the wall of windows so it's a perfect place to get work done with a view. They also serve coffee on a donation basis. The library also has a community room and study rooms available for reservations ahead of time.
I was a bit unprepared as I tried to fax some documents but they only accepted cash and it was $1 per page. Something to keep in mind if you're looking to fax documents

Atmosphere! Pitkin County Library you need to take notes. Comfortable desk seating, and comfortable computer seating. Amazing windows and view. Aspen library might have multiple levels and more amenities but the seating and fireplace at Basalt takes the top prize.

Great little library. I would come here during the week to work remotely and it is so bright and cheery inside. They have these fantastic windows overlooking the Roaring Fork with comfy chairs and desks to sit at and peek over your book from time to time and just relish the natural beauty. The staff is extremely helpful and so kind. For a dollar donation they also have coffee and tea that you can sip on while you're there.

This is a very nice library. Nice staff and a great place to go if you have kids. The adult section of the lirary is also great to be super quite because, being a kid I am afraid to make much noise in that area, so it'll be super quite over there. Head over to the treehouse area for a good place to have your kids play with toys and games to play witha and have special computers packed with kid friendly games for them to also play. (The special comptuers have headphones with them) There is also events in a room in the middle of the treehouse with activities and events planed usually for young kids and toddlers. There is however for most ages, Wii Wendesday on Wendsdays in that same space. Or if your an older kid go near th eback of the treehouse for some computers to play one for a maximum of 1 hour each day or go to the teenage section made for teens if you would like. Also there is a teen only light iluminated drawing board for teens only, that they can use markers provided to draw on.
