A few years ago the previous owner was at least open on Saturdays. Then this current character took over, immediately (almost) doubled mailbox rates. Then he got rid of several old employees- one of them was in the middle of chemotherapy and she needed health insurance. Three former patrons/colleagues and I did our best to locate Debby to help her out, to no avail.
Now it costs nearly $400 a year to rent a box here; it’s not worth it at all. First off it’s tremendously difficult to find parking during business hours, secondly for those of us who work or travel M-F it’s impossible to get mail on weekends because he’s now closed on BOTH Saturday & Sunday! Some sound business judgement right here.
Word of advice: rent a box in the peninsula if you don’t get critical/time sensitive work-related snail mail. I travel to the east bay a lot and got a box near San Leandro for $200 a year; I check it every two weeks when I have to go there anyway, and they’re even open on Saturdays!

$94 to shred 50lb of paper. And that's after 5% discount because of the weight of the boxes. Ridiculous. Save your money and go to Home Depot. You will pay a third of this.

I've been using BBC as an address for my business for a couple years now and have been more than happy. As a bonus I can receive important packages there (business or personal) that I would not want UPS or FedEx to leave outside my door gate (which happens occasionally). Service is always friendly. It gets busy in there but they always do their best to move the line quickly. As others have said, this business is a neighborhood gem.

This place is a neighborhood gem. You don't have to have a business. Your everyday needs are met here whether it be copies or shredding or a place to send your amazon purchases so they don't get stolen from your doorstep. These and so many more services are available. Ivan and Mike are pleasant to deal with. They go the extra mile for you. Here is an example: I needed eighty plus flyers to be printed and to be mailed out with in a days time if possible. I expressed my urgency in getting the flyers out. They listened to me. They did it! I have been their customer for a year or so and I always am treated with kindness and respect. There is parking right out front. What more can you ask?

Extremely horrible customer service from the owner. I waited in line for over 45 min with 3 people ahead of me, which is not even a problem as I understand that it may take longer to process different customers depending on their request. When it was finally my turn to pickup my package, I told the owner that amazon just recently deliver two of my packages which happen to be in pile right behind the front desk. Just for context I was only customer there and there was just about 10 to 15 medium size packages in the pile. The owner proceeded to tell me at first that he couldn't give me my packages, then he told to come back within an hour after he was done processing. I had to beg this man and tell him that I needed my packages now and I wasn't going to leave until I received them. He reluctantly looked through the packages to find mines which took less then ten minutes to find, scan, and then sign out. The owner gave me a speech about having a process and having other things to do, but isn't customer service apart of that process and your other things to do? I never really cared for the owner as I have always felt that he never respected any of his customers and the locals that support his business. Just read the reviews about him below and see his unprofessional responses. I've been coming here for years and today was a breaking point. A message to the owner- your lack of respect and appreciation for your customer will soon catch up to you and you will no longer have a business. I get that it's tough times right now but I hope that you can get yourself together as you are clearly an unhappy man that should not be running a business that requires front facing customer service.

We have lived in this neighborhood for years and we used to rent videos, etc from the previous owner, he was so nice and we loved this place. Now, the owner is so rude and obnoxious. He wanted a dollar for a small piece of tape and also wanted a dollar for me to drop off a package being picked up by the post office! Some people don’t understand the meaning of customer service. This owner will never get a penny from me. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS.
