This place was awesome! It's not big but it is full of information!! Took a couple of hrs. to walk through including a very interesting 30 minute video about half way through the self guided tour. There was a very knowledgeable employee walking around giving information about items throughout the museum. All staff was super friendly. At the end there was a very well stocked gift shop with high priced items. You could get through it a lot quicker but if you're interested in reading about everything then plan on that 2 hrs. If you're flying in as we did, it's about 10mins from the Neil Armstrong Airport.

Ohio Pride FTW!! I don't even know where to begin about the nice things of this museum. What a humble, but spectacular mix of aviation - space history on display. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the exhibition. I was moved when I saw a piece of the Wright flyer went to the moon through Neil. I also really enjoyed the art. Thank you.

I was driving north on Interstate 75 between Cincinnati and Toledo and decided to take a break and visit the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. The museum is located right off the Interstate and is an easy on, easy off stop. There is plenty of free parking and while you are walking from the parking lot to the museum be sure to stop at the NASA Trainer and a Lear Jet that is on display. During my July 2025 visit senior admission (60+) was $12, Visitors under 60 pay a dollar more. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum highlights the life of Neil Armstrong from his birth near Wapakoneta to becoming the first man to walk on the surface of the moon. The museum has a number of his personal artifacts along with artifacts from his career as an astronaut including rocks he collected from the surface of the moon. I enjoyed talking with Jerry, one of the volunteer/historians who are available throughout the Museum. All total I spent a little more than 90 minutes touring the museum. If you are into history, especially space history then this museum is well worth a visit.

This is such a cool museum. I spent an easy 2.5 hours checking out all the exhibits and watching a 30-minute documentary on Apollo 11 that runs in the theatre on the half-hour. Would absolutely recommend to anyone! Didn't even realize Neil Armstrong was born here. Shout-out to Greg, the historian at the museum, who was a lot of fun to learn from and was very welcoming 🙂

This is a really great museum. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they love what they are doing.

I liked that in addition to the general space program information, I learned a lot about Neil Armstrong.

We really enjoyed the 30-minute film too.

Overall, we spent about 2 1/2 hours, including a short visit to the pavilion and outside sample modules. I was surpassed when I looked at my watch to see how much time we spent in the museum.
