I had a former employer who refused to pay me my wages for 2 months! I called the Arkansas Labor Board, gave them all of my information, paperwork, wages owed and within 2 weeks got paid!👍🏻 It was no small sum and my owed wages could have helped during those last 2 months of winter. The Labor Board came through for me and It's deeply appreciated!

They are severely undermanned apparently. They only have 2 people that can maybe help, but getting to them is impossible supposedly. Leaving a message is all you can do. The person who answers the phone can’t help either. All she does is transfer calls. You can tell she really can’t stand her job and doesn’t care about helping licensed tradesman. When a person uses the phrase “you people” to explain her incompetence or the lack there of with this establishment, it’s easy to see they are only there to collect a check. Don’t expect help, that’s not what “these people” are in the business of. Kind of ridiculous in my opinion.

And the 5 star review from Denice Taylor is because she works there. Lol, they’re even rude in comments too. We just simply don’t understand anything judging by her defense of her departments shining record. It’s our fault not theirs. Smh.

Just expirenced the exact same problem that other reviewers have been facing for 3 years.... Funny how rude and unhelpful these people answering the phones are, at a place that is suppose to help you with being treated badly!!! Couldn't even stomach the woman I was pitted against long enough to file my report. Time for some fresh employees

This department is a waste of our state taxes. My husband never received the employers check in the mail although the state had it in their possession. Somehow it was lost between the state and the post office. The employer is under no obligation to rewrite a check so they do not enforce anything. I lived in California and they dont play around both parties show up and the department makes a decision right there and you receive the check in your hand immediately. If your employer screwed you, dont bother because the state doesn't give a damm. They need to redo all there procedures and fire those in charge.

Place is very unprofessional, how they talk to people and don't even let you finish talking is horrible. Please hire nicer people they are very rude here and they need to be let go.

Rude on phone when I called and they dont do anything about employers ripping you off. Unless you got money to pay a lawyer

I called for a simple question and the man was extremely rude! Don't even bother trying to get help from the labor department, unless you find a way to bypass this jerk!
