Beautiful area saw at least one moose several beavers and lots of birds gorgeous morning walk.

There are restrooms and a picnic area at this location. There is a little boardwalk area through a marshy area we saw some wildlife on this path. If you drive about 3 miles down on 125, there is a drive through wildlife preserve. Bring your binoculars, there are many creatures to see, but they aren't always up close.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Go in August when the Rabbit Brush is in bloom. Lots of lovely colors - yellows, gray-blue-green sage, wildlife galore. You can't take a bad picture there because everywhere you turn there is another beautiful vista. Drive or hike - either way you will love the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge.

Don't forget to visit the Visitor's Center and then drive up Owl Ridge to look over the creek and boardwalk area. You may see one of the resident Moose! We like to drive up to Owl Ridge first, to see where the moose are hanging out - then we walk the "Moose-Goose" trail.

The visitor center was not open today but we talk to the Ranger and she allowed us to borrow a scope for duck ponds. The nature walk is very nice. I think we were there at the wrong time for active moose.

Good scenic drive through a self guided tour of a bird sanctuary. Would recommend adding in historical content to the brochure beyond wildlife for those interested in the preservation and history of Jackson county and Walden area.

A very peaceful refuge with TONS of wildlife. I've seen moose, pronghorn, coyote, elk, mule deer and whitetail deer, fox, voles, prairie dogs, golden and bald eagles, several types of hawks, plus dozens of migratory birds! There are some great views and a nice visitor center. I do wish there were more places to drive/walk around. There is a nice path among the willows to walk, and you often see wildlife along the path. The visitor center is full of information. It's a wonderful place!!
