After paying our rent on time, every time, and leaving the property better than when we moved in, we had to request our deposit back only to receive checks which were later found to have insufficient funds and not able to be cashed. We found out we were not the only people going through this issue with them. We don’t know how they’re still in business. Please research this company and the owner (Linda Lee McClure) before you decide to do business with her.

Linda and her staff are VERY professional and a delight to work with. When my Army Veteran husband and I were on Section 8, because we fell on hard times, Linda and American Property Services were happy to step up and rent to us when no one else in the five city area would. She has always been a kind-hearted and understanding person. She is very down to earth and has always done us right since day one. Thank you Linda and American Property Services for always being there to help a family in need!

I rented from linda for multiple years! When I was homeless and no one was taking section 8 vouchers she got me into a place for me and my service animal. Anytime something went wrong they were there right away to fix it. Very thankful to linda for everything she did to help me in a time I needed it. When I left they were happy with how I left it clean and freshly painted and new blinds that I got my full security deposit back even thou there was one small thing that needed to be fix she was happy overall with how it was that I didn't get charged for that small thing.

When we moved in, the tenant that lived in the property before us was still moving stuff out & we had to have the place deep cleaned ourselves since the property company didn't have it cleaned for us. So much was wrong with the house & we were told by maintenance workers that they didn't want to pay to fix the problems because it was too expensive. They screwed over a lot of maintenance workers as well having them pay for things out of pocket & not wanting to pay them for their work. They cycled through at least 4 maintenace workers in the time we lived there & every single one complained to us about how cheap American Property service is. We lived in a house with broken, cracked windows that never locked the entire time we were there which is super unsafe. We also had plumbing issues that were out of our control. Our kitchen sink, bathroom sink & shower never drained properly & no one ever fixed the issues until the city came & said the leak was so bad they were forced to do something about it. We even had a flood in the bathroom that took days for someone to come & look at. They had maintenance fix the leaking porch in the back they worked on it for over a month which we couldn't go in the back at all, they left it a mess with all of their trash & beet cans & ruined our $500 bbq grill by leaving it out in the rain uncovered which we had to toss out & we never complained because we knew nothing would be returned to us or fixed. We also were kicked out for a week with our dogs & myself being pregnant for plumbing people to come in after living there for 3 years & came back to the place a wreck & still no one came to clean up the mess that was left or fix any of the issues that were there including breaking through the walls into our bedroom which with being pregnant I had to breathe in all that dust which isn't safe for months). Like I said the maintenance workers never finished the work they were supposed to do & we ended up having to texture the holes & paint the place ourselves & still got charged for it because it was taken out of our deposit (all of this is documented with pictures). We always paid our rent in full & on time & even left them a good review online when Linda asked us to because her business was getting really bad reviews we were afraid if we didn't she would be upset. We have documented pictures of the place before & after we moved in and will be taking them to court. I also have the messages as well of them thanking us for being great tenants when WE put our 30 day notice in. Just because this business will rent to anybody does not mean that you should rent from them because they will find a way to steal your deposit & make you live in an unsafe dump. These people are slum lords that do not care about the properties they own & allow the properties to deteriorate on the tenants dollar. We will never rent from them again & suggest you don't either.

I am a five cities native I moved a away for years my parents worked with Linda and rented from her company for my whole life this is the most thoughtful and compassionate company in town after moving back from and it being so hard to find housing she cleaned out all obstacle in my way to gain the housing I needed her grandson Jaden is taking over and he is just as much of a blessing along with his wife and awsome staff ! Five starts for a humbly ran family business

Jayden is definantly a one of a kind guy. Our place wasn't ready the day and time we were suppose to move in due to some unforseen maintnance work but Linda and Jayden went above and beyond for my family . We were there happily for about 8 months. We just recently moved and are still renting from American properties . Not going to lie I was hesitant at first after ready the reviews but they have been nothing like what a lot of these people have said.

The absolute worst property management place that I have ever come across in life. I used to live in sc and in nc and dealt with property management each place. I must say that these people are thieves, they will charge you double deposit. Then, when you move out and clean everything top to bottom spotless they still don’t give deposit back. I would be terrified to go through these crooks again. And I never will. After the robbed me of $5,000. If I could give them negative stars I would. DO NOT GO THROUGH THESE PEOPLE.

This management company has always been very attentive, professional and reliable. Whenever a tenant calls with a problem, they always let me know and solve the problem immediately. They have a great team of repair and management specialists that can service any property issue. It's a great feeling to never have to worry about my property especially when I am out of town.
