Just keeping in touch with friends and the wonderful visitors this Post attracts. For folks who are eligible to join, I want to invite people to come by for a visit. Meeting together face to face is so good for your health and this is a happy place. Borrego is located in a pristine wilderness, where your spirit can soar. Yet, for single folks, like me, the sparse population, empty road ways, and dry barren hills create a
powerful thirst. God bless Post 853, a joyous watering hole, an outpost in the Back Country.

What a wonderful place! They allow boondocking for $5 a night, but they also have hookups if you need them. I was boondocking so I do not know what the charges for utilities. But included in the nightly fee is a free dump station with potable water and a shower! Can't be that! Thank you all very much for making me feel so welcomed, see you down the road! 🙂

The American Legion here in Borrego Springs is a small but wonderful representative of the amazing organization. I belong to the Ladies Auxiliary. We donate to many different categories. I'm proud to be a part of this team. Summer is here so the hours of operation are very limited. But during the season, Wednesday night hamburgers n hot dogs are very popular in our community. If you have a opportunity to join your local Post, you won't regret it. ?

I went with a member so not sure of the access rules, but the bar seemed accessible to anyone. Because of COVID only outside seating available which was fine in late winter but probably not great in the summer.
