The ACLU is doing the difficult job of protecting the civil rights of ALL Coloradoans, and it's working hard to do it well! We need to keep protecting the vulnerable, the people trying to be good residents here for safety and stability for their families. That is not what this administration is doing! They are demonizing people, our neighbors, who need help Most are not criminals, especially the children! That's just propaganda!
I'm horrified that immigrants are being painted as evil! We're not! I'm proud to be a long-time resident & naturalized citizen & a contributing immigrant American who was brought here 79 years ago as a child from communist Czechoslovakia and raised as an American.
We work hard, often harder than native-born Americans because we know something personally about the beauty of democracy and the value of freedom. Get to know your neighbor from elsewhere and listen to their story. I bet you'll be amazed. Remember we ALL (except Native Americans) came from somewhere else!!! We're all from immigrant families.
Let's work together to solve the problem of a broken immigration system, and do so kindly (as suggested in the Bible).

Stopping removal of criminals illegal aliens is betrayal of American values. There is a legal process to enter the US and must be honored. My family has extensive experience since the mid 1800's. I welcome new citizens into our great country. I am deeply offended when people take our rules and laws for granted and somehow think they are above the law. In order to protect Americans from criminal animals we must screen people entering America. Please share your opinions.

Well I emailed them about 3 weeks ago and no one has even bothered to respond. I'm sure they get overwhelmed with emails but if they have the time to read each one they certainly have time to send a short email to say they are sorry they can't help you. I really need help and I really thought they cared about people. And civil rights. Maybe I am wrong. Perhaps they only want to APPEAR that they care and want to help people? It is hard to say. I hope they help someone. Part of the reason I went to them is because I noticed on the news that someone had their door kicked in by police. It was the wrong door. They got her 3,000,000$ my situation is much more serious than having your door kicked in. Much MORE of my rights were violated and that means there are others. Making the police pay 3,000,000 for that mistake but having no time to help me when I've been charged of a crime I did not commit and there is no evidence whatsoever seems like a pretty serious civil rights violation. Perhaps I have the wrong skin color
I thought their concern was civil rights and helping people who don't have anyone else to help. I thought they want to make a difference and do something to influence change.
If that were true they would have helped me. It's more than just the criminal charges and the violation of those rights that I need help with.
No one even spoke to me.
I hope they have all the people they need to be useful to people who need them.
God bless them

They pick and choose who they want to help. I instantly got denied less than 24 hours of submitting an application. These people don't want to help

Wrote to them twice. No response after 6 months on the first and second inquiry. My case has been deemed "Too serious and complicated" by numerous law firms. ACLU in theory should be the last resort who can offer some sort of help in the most serious of cases. Not true though.

Zero stars. Wasting time and taxpayer money pushing forward political pet projects instead of truly protecting and advocating for people as they proclaim to do. Shame on you.
