Do not waist your money! Google will tell you more than this lawyer would for $0. I scheduled consultation with him that was suppouse to be 1 hour and it cost $100. He kicked me out the door at exactly 30min from the start of the appointment. He was answering my questions very slow and deliberately dodging them for the time to pass. He would try to take me to a different direction after every question for time to pass by and to not be able to ask all my questions. I learned so much more just by googling my questions.

My Experience with Attorney Wayne Silva: A Case of Unprofessionalism and Exploitation
In February 2023, I hired Attorney Wayne Silva to handle my divorce case, believing he would guide me through the legal process with professionalism and efficiency. Unfortunately, my experience with him has been nothing short of a frustrating, expensive, and emotionally draining ordeal. From the beginning, it became apparent that Attorney Silva was more interested in prolonging my case and inflating my legal bills than resolving my divorce efficiently.
One of the most glaring issues was the unnecessary delays in my case. Even though my wife and I had no joint assets to divide and the child custody matter was fully resolved by October 2023, my case remains open with no clear timeline for resolution. Whenever I inquired about my case's status, Attorney Silva would brush me off with vague, dismissive comments like, “For some people, divorces can take two years if they’re not in a hurry to remarry.” This response was not only irrelevant but also deeply unprofessional. A person's intent to remarry has no bearing on the timeline of divorce proceedings, making his explanation more insulting.
Another concerning issue was the excessive and unnecessary correspondence between Attorney Silva and my wife's attorney (Retired Attorney Roger Stein). Letters were exchanged back and forth, which served no purpose other than to pad the bill with frivolous charges. These letters were not court-required, nor would they ever be presented before a judge. In my case, they felt like a calculated tactic to inflate legal fees at the expense of genuine progress.
Equally frustrating was Attorney Silva's lack of transparency and accountability. Appointments to seek clarification on the status of my case would cost me $200 for less than 30 minutes, regardless of whether I received meaningful answers. Over time, I realized that I was paying exorbitantly for non-answers. To date, I have paid Attorney Silva $12,350 and still owe him $7,323.28, a staggering sum considering how little progress has been made toward finalizing my divorce.
Adding to my frustration was that Attorney Silva actively discouraged me from pursuing mediation, a process that could have significantly shortened the divorce timeline and reduced costs. Instead, he convinced me to stay in traditional litigation, resulting in additional delays and mounting legal fees. This decision was financially motivated rather than made in my best interest.
Perhaps the most disheartening aspect of this experience was the feeling of being exploited. As an immigrant with limited knowledge of the legal system, I trusted Attorney Silva to guide me ethically and fairly. Instead, I now believe he saw my vulnerability as an opportunity to maximize his profits, stringing me along with false reassurances while continuing to bill me at every turn.
By December 2024, after nearly two years of frustration, unnecessary costs, and emotional distress, I decided to terminate Attorney Silva’s services. The lack of professionalism, clear communication, and blatant financial exploitation were more than I could tolerate.
I am now preparing to file a formal complaint with the California State Bar Association to report on what I strongly believe are unethical practices. No client should endure what I experienced under Attorney Wayne Silva’s representation.
If you consider hiring Wayne Silva for legal matters, I urge you to think twice. In my experience, he is not an advocate for his clients but rather an opportunist who prioritizes billing over resolution, profit over ethics, and self-interest over professional responsibility.
In sharing this story, I hope to warn others and prevent them from falling into the same trap. Do not trust Attorney Wayne Silva with your case.

This office was engaged for estate planning for my elderly father-in-law. They took an inordinate amount of time and a surprisingly high cost for what was essentially a template trust document. When my father-in-law died, they informed us of a list of things that had to be done, including going through probate...which they had previously told us the trust would avoid. They wanted $5K up front, and $1K to change a title on the house. We didn't feel comfortable with the advice and another firm advised us that the deadlines they had given were incorrect, and there was no need for probate as most assets were IRAs. They took over and helped us through the rest of the process. On advising them we had changed firms, they refused to refund a $1K deposit even though they had done no work on changing the house title. Overall, they didn't do what they said they would, provided bad guidance, and were difficult to keep engaged. The office is a disaster of paper, which tells you everything you need to know.
