Look no further. Kate is the one! When I knew I was going to have to fight for my child, I had met quite a few different attorneys and none of them ever felt right. Within a few minutes meeting with Kate, I knew she was gonna be the person that I needed to represent me and my son.

Simonds Law group is a family practice, so you won’t get lost in the shuffle like some of these big law firms. I truly felt like I was her only client. Anytime I needed anything Kate would respond right away, weekends, nights, holidays, whenever. I worked with her and the paralegal Barbara, who was also awesome, and throughout the entire process I felt like they really had my back. One thing I really appreciated was how easy Kate was to talk to and how brutally honest she was with me. Even with things that I didn’t want to hear. It’s important to be honest with your attorney, and I always felt like I could be myself and honest with her without being judged. Throughout the process she was my attorney, but there were times she was acting as my therapist as well. She never led me wrong throughout this tough time. I just really, really, really appreciate her for that.

Going through a custody battle for the first time is something no caring Mother or Father can ever be emotionally prepared for, so I made some mistakes at the beginning that could have really cost me. Kate never once led me on, or gave out false hope just to get more fees, which I’m sure most attorneys will do. At the beginning I felt like it was such an uphill battle, but in the end, I got literally everything that I wanted and I can’t thank Mrs. Simonds enough for that. She helped me and my son more than she will ever know.

She was amazing in the court room, amazing with communication, filings, just every aspect. I’ll just say this, I was extremely happy I had her on my side vs the attorney we were up against. She outshined him in every way throughout the entire process. I just always felt like we were one step ahead of the opposition. I really can’t thank her and her paralegal Barbara enough for all the hard work they did for me during the most important time of my life.

I had the pleasure of working with Chris Simonds and I had a difficult divorce after 24 years of marriage. Chris was there to guide me all the way and gave me great advice that was always spot on as to what the judge and the other lawyer would do or say, and I felt very comfortable working with him. The divorce took 14 months to close due to many issues created by my ex but we were successful in getting to the finish line and I felt we had a fair settlement.
We also had a problem created by my ex with selling the mutual residence after the divorce was final, and Chris actually got the judge to grant me a $7,100 payment from my ex because of the delay.
Additionally, I felt the charges from Simonds law firm were reasonable and just and I highly recommend them to anyone having to go through a divorce.
