this is the worst place in MY opinion to get any immigration process started, i applied for VAWA and in ONE year. nothing was done. i would constantly call, email & no one would answer, no one would tell me what was going on. i spent one year of just me waiting for something to get done or at least someone update me of what was going on. i shouldn’t have let a year go by but i ended up just going to another lawyer that is actually working on my case fast.

I am very glad about my experience i had when i called Cabrini center 2 weeks ago. A lady very kind answered the phone with all patience her name is Andrea. She was very helpful with all information I need it for my case. Thank you very much for this amazing service.

I have try to get help for 3 month now. It took 3 weeks just to get someone to answer the just to apply. 1 1/2 after a lot of calls to check on the status they finally set me up to go to a workshop which I have to take off my work for them to tell me they can’t help me that l have to seat one on one with an attorney. That was a month ago!!!!
I have over 30 times if not more. First they gave me a name and number for Esahu Vargar which has never answer or reply. After calling a few more times. Them they say “oh he is vacation “ So they give me the number to the lawyer Maria Ortega! Which I call her Several more times left couple of massages. Never answer never reply!! So l call back to the number some answers. I told them that lady Orgeta never answer. She comes to the (Ortega) and says I never call her or left her a message and that she is not an attorney. That some else is the attorney! That the real attorney was to call me now two weeks later no one has call me. What I’m horrible experience I was refer to you guys by a friend that spoke highly of Catholic charities. Very sad and different of what I was told

They're very helpful when it comes to offering legal migratory services, but the "father" that got my case was incredibly rude to me and I don't doubt he was to people who want to renew the Venezuelan TPS. The experience has been very unpleasant, this person has hanged the phone on me several times, the way he projects his voice is offensive and I don't think someone like that representing a nonprofit organization and the church, should be like that to people who need to be supported. Very unpleasant experience.

Sari, you are lucky the "lady" Cinthia Cabrerra answered you even though she was rude. Calls ring till they get routed to her voicemail and she never calls back no matter how urgent your matter may be.
I've gone there 4 times within one month and all times she was very unreceptive for a receptionist. She fails to acknowledge people, and misinforms. Told me to come 1st Tuesday of the month, I go and she says it's next month .
This last time she told me my case had already been handled insisting I received a call which I didn't. I tried to explain but she goes, "nope, there's no way they did not call you." Then asked for my name, (after), I told her and spelt it and she says the computer says my case was closed. I said my case had not even started and I showed her my ID. She stares at it , gives me back dismissively and proceeds to call out someone else's name, phone number and different nationality saying it was me. I Insisted that was not me. Impatiently, she asks me what kind of case it was, when I told her and said my name( AGAIN), number and nationality, she then says she sees it and I should just wait for the call...2 weeks now and I'm still waiting. I even emailed the person from this website and still no word.
Is the name of this place just ironic? Most people who go there for help are already very stressed out and a little kindness won't kill you, Ms. Cabrerra.

I am woman-veteran, and I was calling on behalf of my friend. I call them today, and I tried to explain the "lady" on the phone what I was calling about, and she hanged up the phone on me. I called right back at least five times and they kept sending me to the voicemail. Cinthia Cabrera, How RUDE!!. That is why so many people complain about us Latinos. Please place somebody with manners to answer the phone for you guys.
