Mr Goad is a highly patient and kind attorney . It is important to note the case load in that county before judging lawyers too harsh . Everytime we had court ,Mr Goad was taking notes and updating his records . It was not always easy to get in touch with him because he is busy so make sure when you set an appointment you make it or communication won't work. The office members have always been so polite and helpful as long as you are respectful and understanding of this job .
I do recommend Goad for people who have their information together and are driven to succeed in court . If you don't push they won't .

Mr. Goad works wonders in the court room! I have hired him for traffic tickets, and for other cases. He is the only one I would hire out of Hillsville. Before I hired him for the first time about a year and a half ago, I was advised that there would be a $150 consultation fee that would be waived if I hired him. Once I talked with him and hired him, he did not charge me the consultation fee. I understand that he worked as the Carroll County prosecutor for 20 years, but he is on our side now!

His Rates are very reasonable and fair. Called another attorney for the same traffic charges he quoted 4 x the amount for the exact same

I got a speeding ticket on my way through Virginia; as I do not live there I called around to look for lawyers in the area. Gregory Goad took care of my speeding ticket for me with no hassle and very fair legal fees. I would highly suggest using him as I will be in the future!

In his website, it says initial consultation is free. However, it is not. Avoid this attorney if possible.

I had a traffic ticket. One day before the court date, I googled two 'best' attorneys in Hillyville, Gregory and McGrady. I called both. Their assistants replied. After a while I received a call from Gregory. He just asked what ticket I got. He did not ask any details about the accident. The only thing he convinced me is his 'confidence'. He simply asked for $600 cash before the court presentation, no personal cheque, no credit card. He said the only thing I need to do was to prepare $600 cash. I thought he would be powerful because all he cares is cash. So I agreed that I would give him $600 cash.

Then I received another call from McGrady. Mr. McGrady asked many many details. His assistant even asked for any google map pictures that can help. What's more, McGrady is also a hokie and he knows Frank Beamer. He even asked me to dress formally to get a best outcome. So I decide to hire McGrady. Still, McGrady suggest I call Gregory first to cancle my deal with him. Therefore, I called Gregory again to let him konw I will hire McGrady. This happened about one hour later.

Finally, I receive a letter from Gregory, which asks for $100 consultation and letter of representation. This gives me very bad impression. I know somehow I am responsible but the $100 is not reasonable. Because it says the consultation is free, do not even mention he said nothing just let me prepare $600 cash...

If possible, please avoid this attorney. All he cares is money.

Please, if you care anything about what will happen in the court room, spend a little bit more money and go to a lawyer that will actually do something for you. Goad is the WORST lawyer in this area. He will not fight nor will he even try. I’m telling you to get that little bit of extra cash and go to someone else. Makes me sick I paid this dude because he done nothing for us.
