I just completed a real estate closing with Kane Jeffries & Carollo, and the process couldn't have been smoother or easier. Patrick Carollo was the closing attorney, and he was on time (actually, ready a bit early), completely prepared, and talked me through each document easily and efficiently, in a very easy, relaxed atmosphere. Sandy, the closer, had communicated with me all throughout the preparation process, and actually had caught a mistake that my bank had made and we were able to have the bank correct it before closing, and was very communicative throughout, and Debbie, the legal assistant, was very helpful with the office details like copying documents, but actually let me use her cell phone to resolve a problem that my bank was having wiring the funds for closing. I'm hoping that this is the last property that I'll ever buy, but if things change and I need an attorney again, I would use them without having to give it a second thought. Highly recommend.

If you're buying a home and need a closing attorney, I highly recommend Patrick Carollo. He was patient and kind throughout the process, quick to respond and resolve issues, and his fees were reasonable compared to others I considered. One important note, at the last minute I had a problem with my out-of-state bank wiring funds for closing. Patrick intervened and eliminated the drama in time to keep everything on schedule. Also, as a newcomer to Richmond, Patrick provided great recommendations for reputable companies to service my home along with amazing restaurants and areas to take visitors. Thank you Patrick!

I have to say I was extremely disappointed in Kane, Jeffries specifically Patrick Carollo. My initial call with Patrick was great so we decided to use him as a lawyer for a sale we were participating in. Once we committed and started the process everything went down hill. Patrick missed delivery dates that he himself promised to hit. Then after missing the dates he would not return calls and when he did they were short emails that didn’t cover all questions asked. Patrick knew we were too committed to switching and leaving so he had us in a corner. Lastly, he took the opportunity to charge more than double what was initially quoted and when we question the overcharge he knocked it down to double the quote saying it was a misunderstanding. This double amount was still 75% higher than other lawyers quoted amounts. There was no misunderstanding except for the fact Patrick knew he could get away with it. We paid it because we were in a corner.

If you’re using a lawyer it is a big deal and you want someone you can trust. We unfortunately could not trust them one bit after all of the issues.
