According to Slate's Dahlia Lithwick, Prosecutor Denise Lunsford used unethical and probably illegal means to gain a wrongful conviction against Mark Weiner. Lunsford's office withholds exculpatory evidence so that they can "win".

Weiner has no recourse against Lunsford now that he is free after serving years in prison because prosecutors have absolute immunity no matter how egregious their misconduct.

In the honor of my name I have been insulted, ignored, and lied about, before and in the nature of malicious intent to dishonor to cause the maximum amount of strange and unusual, excessive, and unnecessary imprisonments in the psychiatric sector. The DA knows no honor in my name. May they rot with the lies they have instilled, uncivilly, in this nation. In files, in court, artfully, and dishonorably.
