David D. Moore will fight for you like he’s family. He takes your case personally and will treat it accordingly. He doesn’t give you false hope and is honest. Lastly I have to brag on John Herrera he is the voice of reason and puts your mind at ease. He’s quick to give you updates on your case. I will definitely use this law firm in the future. The negative reviews are the people who weren’t honest about their case.

In my opinion, Mr. Moore could have accomplished more with the amount of time he worked on the case. I received questionable value for the amount of money I spent. He then dropped me without notice, saying he was leaving private practice. And finally, contrary to the suggestions of the NC Bar Association, he initially stated that I would not be receiving my retainer back, even though I had paid him promptly for every hour billed. However, after some serious discussion and me dropping by his office in person, my retainer was handed back to me while I was in his office. Even if Mr. Moore was still in private practice, I would never consider using him again as an attorney. I cannot and will not advise anyone else, this was just my experience and opinion thereof.

Finding the right attorney for a case is very difficult. Will they be honest, straightforward, efficient, knowledgeable, etc.? These are just some of the unknowns we were concerned about when beginning the search in 2014. David Moore was the first attorney we spoke to, and from the very first conversation, he was direct and willing to explain the law and procedures for our case making it easy to understand. David has been to court to represent us in our case for 5 years. He has always been an excellent communicator, never making us wait very long for a response to a question. He has always been the better litigator in the courtroom, and the Judges clearly respect him as an honest attorney. David never promised the outcome, but did guarantee he would give his best effort. This is one of the things I respected most because many attorneys give false hopes when outcomes are never guaranteed in the justice system. I would hope to never have to hire David again, but thank God he took on our case and was steadfast enough to see it to the end 5 years later. I could never give a higher recommendation to anyone, for anything, than to have David Moore as an attorney representing them in their time of need.

I have utilized David's services twice in the past few years and ended with a satisfactory outcome on both occasions. David will fight tooth and nail to get the desired end result - he is assertive, intelligent and prepared to be aggressive if necessary. David's paralegal, John is a straight shooter who will not lead you astray. He will always get back to you regardless of what time of day you contact him. I found my representation by David Moore to meet and exceed my expectations. While the up-front fee may seem daunting at first, it can (and will be) a life saver as things inevitably draw out. Mr. Moore, while difficult to get a personal meeting with, was always immediately responsive to messages (even at 5am). He never painted a rosy picture of false expectations and was extremely diligent in pursuit of a positive result. His paralegal John absolutely went above and beyond, making time to meet with me around my work schedule and often after hours. I was never disappointed by my representation, nor my treatment as David, John and Casey worked on my case.

David Moore and his paralegal John Herrera are a perfect pair for navigating child custody and divorce. David is very logical and waits for just the right time to strike while John is in the background easing your fears and building your confidence. John especially has been my shining light with the constant fear and worry that comes with custody/divorce situations. The work he does behind the scenes is important, especially to easily intimidated women who come from abusive relationships like myself. When a domestic situation occured for me, John went as far as to give me his personal cell phone number so I would always have a direct way to get in touch with them. This is just one example of many I can share that shows just how exceptional David Moore and John Herrera are. They fight for us when we are not sure how to fight for ourself. More than anything else, their main focus is always on what is best for the children. Finally, the honesty I have received from David and John about expectations and timing have been truly appreciated and have eased my anxiety tremendously.
