I was very pleased with Kelly Shaffer. She is very professional, ethical, knowledgeable, and experienced. She explained things to me clearly. The mediator and QDRO she recommended were also very good although the mediator made a calculation mistake that almost cost us the settlement.

My only complaint was the length of time my divorce took. Some of this was because my ex-wife and her attorney were so slow to respond and provide documents. I wanted to start settlement negotiations months earlier than we did.

I initiated my divorce filings without a lawyer in the hope the process could be amicable. However, I soon realized just how much I needed a lawyer to protect my interests as soon as I saw what I was facing.
