Very... VERY expensive. good selection but only place for miles to buy some things and they unabashedly show it. I think the spaghetti dinner we were planning was upwards of 35 bucks. If you gotta have it they likely have something that will work but be ready to pay 17 bucks for your hashbrowns!

Expensive, and Rude Service to Boot.
I purchased a bicycle inner tube, the tube was older and popped just a few minutes after inflating the tire. I took it back, expecting them to be happy to exchange it for another one, but they were rude, uncooperative, and unwilling to exchange.
It seems they have gotten too comfortable being the only store on the island.

Tourist prices. We arrived Friday evening to the island and wanted a few things. Water, veggies, noodles, alfredo sauce, coffee, honey, eggs, and some aluminum foil for over $100. Get stuff on the way. There's a good spot at the Dauphin Island Parkway and Fowl River Rd intersection.

Every time I come here, I leave pleased. It is convenient! Yes, a lil more pricey, but this is not a Costco or Sam's. Duh.
Saves me time, and time is money!

Recently visited hardware where I have shopped for over 50 years. Their policy has always allowed returns on hardware if you keep the receipt. Needed a part to repair corroded hose but was uncertain about size but was informed “no returns”. So, I drove to Ace where the people are much more helpful and bought one of each size knowing that I can return what I don’t need..

As a vacationer, it’s great to have a convenience store on the island rather than having to drive all the way to Greers. On a few occasions we have needed quick access to meds and have been very thankful to have them so close otherwise you are taking quite the trip off the island. Yes, it is very expensive but honestly what do you expect. They have a captive audience and likely rely heavily on tourists. As for comments about rudeness, I have been going there for seven years (we come to the island every spring break) and have never encountered anyone unkind. I’d actually say that everyone has always been very very kind! The produce is pretty terrible but other than that it’s well stocked for a convenience store.

The people are beyond rude and stuck up- if you’re not a local. Unfortunately, I could not give zero stars. Do yourself a favor and drive back across the bridge and support a business that actually cares. (There’s a Sam’s not far— it’ll be worth i promise.)

Best store on Dauphin Island. They have a decent selection of groceries, the best selection of fishing items, and a good sell tion of hardware supplies. Prices are reasonable.
