I met Jennifer Donaldson based on a recommendation of a mutual friend.

I was visiting another friend for the first time to collect some paperwork that we'd been working on, and mistakenly went to the house of their next-door neighbor, knocked on their side door, because it was closest and I was only planning on taking the paperwork and leaving. A big dog, Tibetan Mastiff, came out of another door on the other side of the fence adjacent to the door I knocked on and came up onto the fence separating us.

I put up my hands and said, "Chill dog!" and suddenly a finger on my right hand was gone!

Suffice to say it was amputated at a hospital in Denver that Sunday afternoon. The dog was impounded for a week.

I spoke with Jennifer, and she informed me that Colorado law is really gray about dog bites. I might have been trespassing by going to a side door!

She offered to take the case for 1/3 of the settlement. Two years later, we successfully settled out of court. Without her help, I would probably not have received anything.

I'm especially grateful for her help in reaching a settlement. The finger is still problematic, but I can't change that. Restitution, at least, mitigates the pain.

I hired Jennifer Donaldson to help me with a claim after a skiing accident and I'm so glad that I did! Jennifer and her staff were very thorough in preparing my case and I ended up getting a much larger settlement than I thought possible. Jennifer also negotiated a lower subrogation amount with my insurance company so that I got to keep more of the settlement money. Jennifer and her staff are great communicators--they often return emails at night and on the weekends and they kept me up to date on all progress throughout my case. It's also nice that they do electronic signing of documents so that I didn't have to take time to go to the post office or drive to their office. Again, I'm very happy that I hired Jennifer--I had the best outcome of my claim that I could have asked for thanks to her and her team!
