I love Metro Caring but there is a problem when the disabled are run over by some migrants that disregard other patrons and take everything in sight and cut in line. I was in à walker and another in a wheelchair. They empty everything. Got a 3rd of what I normally get. Praying I have help from volunteers before turkey day and it is safer for the disabled to shop. I don't see well out my right side and I don't like the bruises from others carts from the pushing.

Excellent place, they help people a lot with food. What happens is that people come and want to take all the food. And when it's your turn, there's almost nothing left and when they go outside to put their food in a box, other people throw away the food just because they don't like it. People go and ask for food and still aren't happy with what they take. I don't understand why they take so much and then throw it outside and those of us who really need it don't get much. But very good people who help with food.

I can not give less then a one star review, however it was a horrible time being here. All the food was gone. homeless people were greedy and obnoxious and entitled to receive food. My husband and I applied to get food and assistance and the people there were rude and we never sat and talked to anybody it was like we were pushed out as if to be considered like everyone else. We had been to other food banks before and we the hospitality we were offered at these other places we were not offered here. the only thing that this place had to offer was liver and tomato soup and light bulbs. there was no structure. when we walked outside we seen women with goodies and cakes and meat that fulfilled there whole household. As we walked out with what i feel was nothing watching women and men talk about everything they have gotten from this place we looked at at our 2 green recycle bins in shambles we still had nothing to eat for the night. At least fulfilling for the night. please do better.. people coming in smoking crack and meth and drinking. its wild. and people who are trying to do right cant even get a foot up.. ITS SAD. thanx but no thanx

I interviewed with Metro Caring for over 2 months. Took days off from work and confirmed interviews with them only to be sent home and told to come back another day due to their poor communication. They do not respect peoples time. They will lead you on as long as they can with no sense of urgency to fill a position. They like to hold external interviews but almost always hire internally after making everyone wait 2 months and then not even give the common courtesy of a call or an email to let you know the outcome but claim to be trauma-informed. You have to call them and get the run around for a simple answer. Tash Mitchell and the rest of the organization present to be good people but the truth is they care more about equity than what people are going through in the community. Once it reaches the top leaders they are so out of touch with what’s going on in the community the only passion comes from those lower on the totem pole. I’m very disappointed with how my interview experience with these people was handled. I spent hours on interviews and preparing learning materials as part of an interview assessment and was promised a stipend to cover the time I gave to this non profit. It’s has now been a month and I have yet to receive any for of payment for my time and learning materials I provided to them. Steer clear and listen to your instinct. If it sounds to good to be true it’s because it is.
