Nothing but the best! She's very knowledgeable and speaks to you with nothing but the truth. I was very fortunate finding Colleen.
I had finished divorce court and have been battling custody continuously, the stress has been unbearable and Colleen was very patient and knowledgeable. She would listen to me and be direct with me, which is needed.
When it came to planning and court preceding's she was very proficient and she fought for me hard. False accusations are one of the hardest things to deal with in custody court and working together with Colleen we were able to prove each lie in each hearing.
Being my second attorney and the many searches and experiences I've had I trust her immensely. I did so much studying, learning and preparing but prior to hiring her I struggled. I was ignored and treated poorly. With Colleen's knowledge, experience and presence I was treated fairly.

The very minute I met Colleen McCoy, I knew I had found the right lawyer for me. I came to her in shambles after leaving an abusive situation. She immediately calmed me, built me up and prepared me for battle. She was my fighter and I could always turn to her. Over the long dragged out custody battle for nearly 2 years, she never left my side. She would always think of the best option, always had tricks up her sleeves and she put in the hard hard work. She researched for hours and hours, preparing and knowing everything, inside and out. She never dismissed me or made my questions feel silly. She validated my experiences and truly made me feel heard. She promised me a win and that’s exactly what happened. You'd be hard pressed to find a more dedicated, knowledgeable, honest attorney than Colleen. She is the one person you want in your corner fighting for you in some of the most difficult situations attorneys have to navigate. She has been very help in a Family case that I've had to deal with over the last year or so. I would definitely recommend Colleen to anyone that has Family Court issues to fight.

If I could give zero stars I would. 3 months and $2,000 later, nothing was done. In this time Colleen took 2 vacations. My permanent orders hearing was rescheduled 5 months later because of her vacations which, she did tell me about prior but, nothing was done. I hired Colleen because she talked a big game up front. Turns out, thats all it was. 100-250 dollars an hour to send emails for 3 months. Her motion for a CFI was very bland ,vague, and broad. It was denied. Unfortunately she is the second lemon of an attorney that I have hired. Her attitude was very poor and work ethic was very lax. The day before mediation she was suggesting to the opposing counsel that I earn my parenting time. There are absent abusive drug addict fathers out there that have more time with their children than I do and, I am none of those. I am a hard working Marine Corps Vet who mutually agreed with my ex to seperate. It was a failed marriage and I was never an absent or unfit parent. I do not recommend her at all. I never insulted Colleen in any way I only called it as I saw it unravel. I am not bitter nor did I ever seek "retaliation" I have never requested anything other than 50% parenting time and joint decision making. THATS IT. I could care less about my ex. Also, my children are in a violent offenders home with 9 people 3 cats and a dog and share a bedroom with 3 people. My intentions have nothing to do with my ex and everything to do with the best interest of my children.
