I’m disappointed in the city of Crested Butte. I drove into town at night for the first time for a vacation. There is no street lighting on the neighborhood roads, and the snow piles were extremely high (see pictures). Nobody in the car saw any signs regarding parking. I parked my car next to the house but it was gone the next morning. I thought my car was stolen but the city had actually towed my car. They charged me nearly $200! In the daylight, you’re barely able to see the parking signs buried in the snow. I will not return to Crested Butte. I’ll spend my money elsewhere. Beware.

Called to politely recommend that officers driving white vehicles during a snowstorm could improve public safety by simply turning on headlights — my suggestion was met with rudeness and dismissive. This stance of : “how dare you, a member of the public criticize our operations” even when it’s a valid criticism is so present amongst most pubic safety and law enforcement agencies I have observed, was hoping CB Marshall was different, but it’s not.
