I want by this place to get a notary service completed. I was advised it cost $25.00 for that service. I advised the lady in Latin Tax that they were charging more than what Colorado allowed for a notary.

The lady at Latin Tax told me that she didn't care I advised her that i would be reporting them to the Colorado Secretary of State Notary Division for over charging customers for a notary.

Keep in mine this was an in person notary in there office NOT a remote notary service or electronic notary service request.

COLORADO NOTARY FEE LAW:

What fees can a notary legally charge?

A3. By Colorado law, the maximum fee allowed for a notarization is $15 per document and includes:

1. Receiving evidence of the signer’s identity,
2. Administering an oath or affirmation (if applicable), and
3. Applying the signature, notarial certificate, and stamp of the
notary to the document.

The maximum fee for an electronic notarization or remote notarization is $25.

If you charge for other services, you should itemize those separately.

I would advise the owner of Latin Tax to follow Colorado Rules for doing Notaries in Colorado.

As a consumer/customer I feel that this needs to be reported to the Colorado Secretary of State Notary Division based on there abuse to correctly charge while doing a notary.

This play is the worst place ever they give you an amount and send you another . A lady named Lupe avoid her she messed up on my family taxes and the manager believes she does nothing wrong . AVOID THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!
