I would give zero stars if possible. Julia Olson completely botched our CFI review on my ex’s side of things for the most part. Despite me giving her the information for her to actually investigate it appears that she only investigated my side of things and didn’t even get proper names on my ex’s side to run the proper background checks. I fired my previous attorney and hired someone new who essentially did much of Julia’s job for her- and ran my ex’s families background checks. I also gave her the police report numbers for when my ex dumped beer over my head and my infant child’s and she also never followed up on that or any other police reports that were made when he attacked me while I was holding and breastfeeding my infant.
She never even mentioned any of it in the report because she didn’t follow up on any of it. She also never asked him to submit even one drug test before writing her report-even though I had provided evidence of him using cocaine and being an alcoholic.

Julia also didn’t even check the social service records of my ex’s family (who my son was with as his dad didn’t even live there and wasn’t even a caregiver for my child) despite me explaining they had severe records with CPS and had lost custody of my ex and his brothers for years of their life.

Despite all I endured, everything worked itself out. I’ve had my son every single night for the last 39 months of his life. I wish Julia would investigate thoroughly in the future as my son’s attachment was greatly affected by her lack of efforts.

Have to give Julia a fail here. She was nice in phone and email, and if she had rational points behind her decisions I would think more of them. Ultimately she listened only to one set of parents, taking their side in everything. We had a fairly straightforward case, which we ultimately won anyway, but it got more expensive. She accepted the other party's input well past the deadline, and rather than verify that input with us, included it in the court filing, for which she then had to file a correction. We paid upon receipt of the invoice in May; the other side paid after the report was already due in August, and when we asked about corrections to the report, she was more interested in being fair to herself than to my daughter.

Julia is a highly skilled and experienced CFI and therapist. She’s objective and can see all the sides in the families she works for and has proved to be stellar in court.
